Tough call. Technically they are just taking a picture. I definitely have a problem with them storing the records however. Kind of like the NSA storing emails, texts, phone call data. There’s really no place this information can be stored that will protect our privacy. It is interesting that there are laws in place that make it illegal for private citizens to store the credit card information of their customers because of the vulnerability to hacking. Well the vulnerability to hacking applies (perhaps even moreso) to government databases. And the sources of potential hacking are also multiplied to include foreign governments and political enemies as well as economic “opportunists”.
